I am a photographer based in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in nature and the quiet intelligence of the living world. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I grew up surrounded by light, texture, and movement—elements that continue to shape how I see. But my work is rooted in the present landscape: the Midwest’s shifting seasons, its subtle dramas, and the way nature persists in places where it’s not expected to thrive.
My practice centers on noticing. I’m drawn to small, often overlooked details—ice patterns forming on concrete, the geometry of branches against the winter sky, the way plants reclaim abandoned edges of the city. I photograph these moments not as decoration, but as evidence of resilience, adaptation, and the ongoing conversation between humans and the natural world.
My work invites viewers to slow down and look again. To notice the small, persistent gestures of the natural world. To recognize that nature is not separate from us—it’s woven into our daily lives, even in the most urban environments. Through photography, I aim to create images that feel grounded, attentive, and alive, offering a moment of stillness in a world that rarely pauses.
