I've been spending my summer being more creative and enjoying art. I've also made a serious effort to edit my cellphone photos. It's a slow-moving process, but so far I've gotten to re-live and appreciate moments I didn't even know I'd taken. I'm thrilled wth my progress and enjoying all the artistic vibe. Let me show you some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy creating them.

I ended up using this photograph as my laptop background. 

This has to be one of my favorite photographs of the Humboldt Park Field House

I never know how the result will look when I take photographs, but I enjoy little surprises. I believe this photo to be one of them. I was not expecting this photograph to make it into my monthly favorites, but the way the petals show themselves in this work is the reason I do nature photography. 

I would like to officially invite you to my dark phase. lol! 

I think this photograph is so beautiful! I love the way the flowers pop up and almost look three-dimensional. Again, not surprised it made it to my favorites. 

I've been thinking about a weekly/monthly "favorite things" post. Maybe it could be a weekly thing? Thoughts?
